How to register Director Identification Number (DIN)?
DIN Number or Director Identification Number is a unique 8 digit number that is needed for any current or proposed Director of a Company. Director Identification Number (DIN) has been presented in India via the Companies Amendment Act, 2006.
DIN is explicit to a person, which means whether he is a director in 2 or more organizations, he needs to get just 1 DIN. What's more, in a situation that he leaves an organization and joins some other, a similar DIN would work in the other organization also.

How to apply for DIN and relevant forms?

1. SPICe Form:
Application for designation of DINs to the proposed first Directors in regard to New organizations will be made in SPICe form only.
2. DIR-3 Form:
Any individual aiming to turn into a director in an all-around existing organization will need to make an application in eForm DIR-3 for allocation of DIN.
3. DIR-6 Form:
Any adjustments in the points of interest of the directors will be documented in form DIR-6 To apply for DIN, the above forms are to be recorded electronically. It must be carefully marked and then transferred to the MCA21 entryway

Documents to be attached with the forms?

1. For SPICe Form:
Attach Proof of Identity and Address Proof. DIN would be apportioned to a candidate simply after the endorsement of the form.

2. Form DIR-3:
Attachments: Photo, Identity confirmation, Residence evidence, Verification (Name, father's name, present location, date of birth, the content of the declaration, and the signature of the candidate) In the case of foreign nationals, passport is required as identity proof.
Documents to be certified by a CA or CS Photo, identity verification, and residency confirmation should be authenticated by a Chartered Accountant or a Company Secretary or a Cost Accountant, in whole time practice.
In the case of foreign nationals, their documents can be authenticated by the Consulate of the Indian Embassy and Foreign Public Notary. After uploading DIR-3 and the supporting documents, the applicant will pay the governement fee in the following window screen. It must be paid through net banking, credit card, or NEFT. Manual (offline) installment isn't permitted.

3. Generation of DIN
Once the application fee is paid and the application is submitted, the system will generate an application number. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs will handle the application and choose the endorsement/dismissal.
DIN is appproved once the fee is paid and same is communicated to the applicant.
If the DIN application is dismissed, reason of such denial will be communicated to the applicantand he can resubmit his application again. will If he redresses such reasons and can fulfill the required guidelines, he will be allocated DIN, in other case, the Ministry will name the application INVALID.

Form DIR-6
For changing any subtleties referenced in the DIR-3 structure/SPICe as for Directors, at that point Form DIR-6 must be submitted online. With the form, the authenticated document report is also needed to be submitted.

What is a director identification number (DIN) and what does it mean?

Any person proposed to be director in any new company shall apply its DIN with company incorporation.
